Other than the obvious big cash rewards, you will also gain invaluable exposure and contribute to improving local TV content. It’s also a very effective platform to get your ideas across to the people that matter in the industry.
Even if your idea(s) do not make it into the short list, it may still be considered and applied as the basis for future projects. Of course, you will be notified and acknowledged under the title ‘Original Idea by...’ if that is the case. How great is that as a fast track to fame and fortune??! |

Must I send in videos and other stuff? |

We are mainly interested in your ideas at this stage. All you have to do is send us what you think will make a great TV show—something unique that will be the next big thing using the official Big Entry Form which can be obtained from the website www.bigidea.com.
You may also send in additional attachments and materials such as scripts, storyboards and outlines, although this is not compulsory and will not add to the evaluation process. |

How is the judging process? |

Your idea(s) will be reviewed and judged by an assembly of ‘Big Idea People’ from Primeworks consisting of content creators, brand managers and business development; all rounded and experienced people who determine what goes on TV.
20 of the most promising will be shortlisted to proceed to the pitching session. Being apart of the ‘Big 20’ basically means that PWS likes your idea and would like to hear more about it from you in person. RM3, 000 will be awarded to each short listed idea at this point. |

Can I still enter if I’m below 18 years old? |

Yes, you can. However, there are legal release forms and agreements which need to be read, understood and signed by you and your legal guardian. This is required because we want to protect your interest the best we can so that no one feels short changed at the end of the day. |

If my idea wins, will I be involved in the production of the show? |

If your idea wins, you will receive RM20, 000 which means that Primeworks Studios (PWS) has bought your idea for this amount.
Should your idea be produced into a television show, producers from PWS will have the option of contacting you again to further develop the concept together. This is not compulsory and you are not obligated to do so.
Should you be given the option to further develop the idea with PWS, fees and numeration will be considered separately to the already won RM20, 000. This also applies to other ideas submitted. |

What’s a pitch? |
| |
In the ‘Big TV Idea’ competition, a pitch means “selling” your TV idea. This is done through a 3-5 minute presentation where you will talk about your idea and explain its concept |
| |
| |
What must I do when my idea makes it to the pitching session? |
| |
If you make it into the ‘Big 20’, you will need to pitch your idea(s) in person to a board of big people from Media Prima Berhad (MBP). The pitch that impresses the panel of ‘Big Idea People’ the most will ultimately win a grand prize of RM20, 000 cash. |

Pitching session |
| |
At a pitching session, you will be presenting to a panel of TV executives. In the pitching room, we will provide you with a basic audio visual unit to assist you with your pitch. |

| |
But I’ve never pitched before in my life! |
| |
The pitching process is not exclusive to show business. In fact, we do it everyday like when we’re trying to convince friends to watch a certain movie or eat at a particular restaurant, for example. It goes along the lines of “You should... because...” Top 20 ideas will go through a briefing session in which we will guide you on what’s needed for your pitch. |
